Compact Pistol
Class Overview
This course is for students who have been through a basic pistol course and want to get better familiarized with a compact to mid-frame pistols to include calibers from .380 to .45 ACP. If you have already completed a basic pistol course at another school, please contact us to see if you qualify for this course. Every school conducts their training in a different manner and we are aware of which courses satisfy the prerequisite.
This class builds upon basic pistol skills and focuses on how to safely and effectively work a compact pistol. Whether you have one because you have small hands, or you have one because it’s needed for concealment, this is the class for you!
Common pistol types for this class include (but are not limited to): Ruger LCP, Glock 43/19/26, Sig 365, Smith & Wesson M&P Shield and Springfield Hellcat.

- Sturdy nylon or leather belt or duty rig
- Eye and ear protection
- 250 rounds of factory ammunition *
*Rental firearms are available for every class we offer, but we do need to know ahead of time in order to have one ready for you. Please make sure to indicate your need to rent a firearm when you sign up for a class.

Prerequisites:
If you have not completed the prerequisite class with ITTS, but you have prior formal training that was recent and comparable in both subject matter and duration, contact us to discuss your candidacy for this class. Your prior training will need to have been from a qualified and verifiable source that meets our school’s standards.
LEO and Military are exempt from this prerequisite.
PLEASE NOTE: If it has been more than 1 year since you successfully completed Defensive Handgun 1 with our school (or equivalent elseware), then we ask that you re-take the shooting portion of Defensive Handgun I (at a discounted rate) as a refresher before attening Compact Pistol. You can also opt to take a Private Lesson instead of re-taking Defensive Handgun 1.

All rentals come with ammo and all other associated equipment. We will have everything ready for you at your class.
